CPCC names Williams as trustee

Former Mecklenburg County Commissioner Darrel Williams has been appointed to CPCC’s Board of Trustees, serving a term through 2016.

Williams, an architect, is a founding partner of Neighboring Concepts, a design firm established in Charlotte in 1996. He was a county commissioner from 1994 to 2002 and played a key role in the passage of bonds that allowed Mecklenburg County to acquire land for schools, libraries, parks and greenways.

He was appointed to CPCC’s board by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board.
