The ramp on northbound Interstate 77 at Exit 42 in Iredell County remains closed early Thursday afternoon following an overnight tractor-trailer wreck.
The N.C. Department of Transportation says the earliest that the ramp will be opened is 1:45 p.m.
A truck carrying plastic containers overturned during the night when the driver tried pulling the rig onto the shoulder. Crews have been working since daybreak to unload the cargo and lift the truck.
