Missing Watauga man located

BOONE -- The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office says an 87-year-old man who had been the subject of a missing-person search has been found and is OK.

Deputies had been looking for William Jack Richardson, who was last seen Wednesday afternoon driving on U.S. 421 near Boone. Authorities said Richardson apparently is suffering from dementia.
