A 19-year-old who went missing after being assaulted this week has been found.
On Saturday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said detectives had located Candice Griffin. The announcement came a day after police asked for the publics help to find her.
Griffin had last been seen in northeast Charlotte on Wednesday, when she was reportedly the victim of a serious assault, police said. Her family and friends had not heard from her and were concerned.
Police said Saturday that detectives spoke with Griffin. The investigation into the assault and her subsequent disappearance is ongoing, police said.
