Contact us: How are our manners?

Just how do we treat each other when no one’s looking?

Do we love our neighbor enough to pick up our dog poop during walks? Does our community decorum lead us to return our shopping carts to the bins or do we leave them strewn around parking lots?

Do you blow your horn at traffic stops if the cars in front of you don’t anticipate the green? Do we allow fellow motorists to ease into freeway traffic off of exit lanes? And are we closet cell phone abusers – at theaters, coffee shops or by texting during our morning commutes?

For a city that prides itself on its hospitality, how do Charlotteans really rate on these and any other tests of community civility.

Call me at 704-358-5095and leave your contact information. Or you can email me at mgordon@charlotteobserver.com.
