NEWTON The pastor of a Catawba County church is in jail Tuesday accused of taking indecent liberties with a minor he had met at his church.

Bradley Moss, 38, of Newton, was arrested Monday after an investigation involving Newton police and the Catawba County Department of Social Services.

Moss is pastor of Victory Empowerment Center International of Hickory, police said in a news release.

According to police, the investigation began in July after officers received a complaint from the mother of the alleged victim.

Moss is being held at the Catawba County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond. He is set to make an initial court appearance on Wednesday.
