Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Friday they have arrested six people in connection with a prostitution operation in the northern part of the city.
The Wednesday sting focused on areas around Frontenac Avenue and Eastway Drive, and came after citizen concerns about robberies stemming from prostitution-related crimes, police said in a news release.
The operation involved several CMPD divisions, and included both uniformed and undercover officers.
Arrested were:
• Delmonica Cuthbertson, 37, who was charged with solicitation of a crime against nature and loitering for the purpose of prostitution
• Wendi Wolfe, 42, who was charged with solicitation of crime against nature and soliciting for prostitution
• Lisa Ayers, 42, who was charged with solicitation of crime against nature and soliciting for prostitution
• Chantal McFadden, 20, who was charged with loitering for the purpose of prostitution and soliciting for prostitution.
• Michela Cornett, 21, who was charged with loitering for the purpose of prostitution and soliciting for prostitution.
• Albert Henderson, 22, charged with possession of firearm by a felon
Five of the suspects were being held in the Mecklenburg County jail on Friday morning. According to the sheriffs office website, McFadden was released from custody on a written promise to appear.
