Candidates running for county and state offices will meet the public at 11 a.m. Saturday during the Ballantyne Festival at the Morrison Family YMCA.
The free event runs from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and starts with a chili cook-off provided by 20 organizations. The event features games, live entertainment and an evening movie for children.
CMS Superintendent Heath Morrison will attend along with representatives from the Charlotte City Council, Charlotte Planning Department and CATS.
