Household hazardous material collection

York County Collection & Recycling Centers will host a household hazardous material collection event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, at the York County Public Works Facility, 220 Public Works Rd., York, SC. Residents are encouraged to bring leftover, unused or unwanted chemicals, cleaners, fertilizers, brake fluid, gas/oil mix, oil-based paints, pool chemicals, turpentine, etc. for proper disposal.
