The family of a cab driver seriously injured Friday in a robbery, stabbing and carjacking near SouthPark says the victim has opened his eyes and is trying to talk, according to a WSOC-TV story.
WSOC reports Gary Hinson opened his eyes Tuesday at Carolinas Medical Center, as he recovers from his injuries.
“He knows what happened to him, and he’s trying to cope with that,” his sister, Barbara Hinson, said.
WSOC also reports the man accused in the case, Brian Chandler has a long criminal record.
