Latin American Festival

For its 21st year, Celebracion!, the Lowcountry’s celebration of Latin American culture, food, dance and music, will return to North Charleston’s Wannamaker County Park from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is $10 at the gate; $5 for military and college students; free for 12 and younger. Luxury Travel Show

Mann Travels is staging its annual Luxury Travel Show 5-7 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Duke Mansion, 400 Hermitage Road. The free-admission event includes valet parking, wine and appetizers. Charlotte’s Magellan Club will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 E. Morehead St. (fellowship hall Room 203). Brookgreen’s autumn festival

Outdoor, family-friendly activities at Brookgreen Gardens’ Harvest Home Weekend – 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Oct. 13-14 – include scarecrow building, pumpkin painting, hayrides, food and live music. (Nominal charge for some activities.) There are also demonstrations on how to make pottery, soap and sweetgrass baskets. Brookgreen Gardens is on U.S. 17, south of Myrtle Beach.
