Three people were injured late Friday morning in a two-vehicle wreck across from South Mecklenburg High School in south Charlotte, authorities say.
And a short time later, no injuries were reported in another two-vehicle wreck that involved an overturned car -- this one in southwest Charlotte.
According to police, a car and an SUV collided around 11 a.m. on Park Road at Arbor Pointe Drive, and the car overturned. Inbound Park Road was closed for more than an hour while police conducted an investigation and the wreckage was cleared.
A spokeswoman for Medic says the three victims’ injuries were not life-threatening, and they were taken to CMC Pineville. One of those hurt was in the car, and the other two were in the SUV.
The second wreck happened around 12:45 p.m. on South Tryon Street at Clanton Road.
A silver Jetta collided with an SUV, and the Jetta overturned in the northbound lanes of South Tryon Street. No serious injuries were reported in that wreck either.
