Carolina Panthers move CB Ron Parker to active list

In a corresponding move, the Panthers placed reserve guard Mike Pollak on injured reserve

With top cornerback Chris Gamble doubtful for Sunday's game against Seattle, the Carolina Panthers have moved cornerback Ron Parker from the practice squad to the active roster.

Parker is a second-year player the Panthers picked up in September and signed to the practice squad. He appeared in two games for Seattle and three for Oakland last season.

In a corresponding move, the Panthers placed reserve guard Mike Pollak on injured reserve. Pollak has been sidelined since sustaining what was then called a shoulder stinger at practice before Week Two's match against New Orleans.

Head coach Ron Rivera said earlier in the week Captain Munnerlyn would replace Gamble in the starting lineup opposite rookie Josh Norman. Second-year corner Josh Thomas will play in passing situations, with Munnerlyn sliding inside to the nickel spot.
