GASTONIA -- Police say they issued 92 citations and charges Friday night during DWI checkpoint.
The checkpoint was conducted on New Hope Road at Interstate 85. Joining in the effort were police from Lowell, Ranlo and Stanley, along with the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office and the N.C. Highway Patrol.
Police say they used a mobile breath-alcohol testing unit at the checkpoint.

DWI -- 4
Driving with license revoked -- 14
No operators license -- 18
Other license violations -- 1
Equipment violations -- 2
Insurance violations -- 3
Registration violations -- 22
Child restraint violations -- 2
Inspection violations -- 7

Warrants served -- 4
