Davidson deals with vehicle break-ins

Police in Davidson say they are looking for a person or persons responsible for a series of vehicle break-ins and two vehicle thefts early this week.

The crimes happened in the early-morning hours Sunday and Monday, according to police. None of the victims’ vehicles were locked, police report.

A Toyota Corolla was stolen early Sunday from a home on Kindertson Drive, in the Davidson Woods area. That car was found later Sunday at the public library in Cornelius. And early Monday, a Volkswagen Passat was stolen from a residence on Dogwood Lane. That vehicle was found later in the day behind a business in the 20300 block of North Main Street.

Davidson police remind residents to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables inside. Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers, 704-896-7867.
