Iredell County authorities say a routine traffic stop has led to the arrest of a man wanted on 11 felony drug charges in Union County.
The sheriff’s office says Harold Lee Pless, 41, of Charlotte, was arrested Fridayoct5 after Deputy P.S. Campbell spotted Pless driving a Lexus with an expired license tag.
Campbell said he saw the driver of the Lexus toss a bag of marijuana out the window and said he found another bag of marijuana in the pocket of the driver, identified as Pless. Another sheriff’s deputy and Mooresville police officers arrived a short time later and allegedly found a bag of Percocet pills in the vehicle.
Pless was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana; possession of marijuana; DWI; drug paraphernalia; driving with a license revoked; littering; and several other traffic offenses.
Authorities say they then learned Pless was wanted on 12 arrest warrants from Union County, including five counts of trafficking opium or heroin; possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin; selling heroin; and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.
Pless was jailed under $105,000 bond.
