Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they are looking for three men who allegedly abducted a woman at gunpoint Wednesday evening in east Charlotte and then stole money from her checking account.

The woman was not injured, police say.

It happened when the woman was leaving work and walking to her car, in the 5000 block of Executive Center Drive, near Albemarle and Farm Pond roads. The woman said she was approached by three men who ordered her into her vehicle and drove her to a bank in the 6400 block of Albemarle Road, just east of Farm Pond Lane.

At gunpoint, the woman provided the men with her ATM banking account code, and police say the suspects withdrew money from her account.

Authorities say the men drove to an apartment complex on Albemarle Road and ran off, shortly before 9 p.m. Police did not provide a detailed description of the suspects, but they have released a photo of one man, taken from the bank surveillance camera.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 704-334-1600.
