Man charged in Lancaster shooting

LANCASTER, S.C. - Lancaster police arrested a man on Monday morning in connection with a weekend shooting.

Police said Kentavious Stefan Mills, 22, is accused of shooting Bryon Lamont Miller in the leg during a dispute on Saturday evening.

Miller, 23, was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his wound and later released, according to police.

On Monday morning, police spotted Mills driving a burgundy Chevrolet Caprice, the same car used in the shooting, on South Main Street, according to police.

Mills was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Mills also faces drug charges after cocaine was found in his possession during his arrest, police said.
