After thoughtful assessment and evaluation, I have diagnosed myself with sensory overload! Either this is true or being a nursing student makes you a hypochondriac. Whatever the case, I am sticking with the first. With so many major things happening at once in my world I am seriously on edge. I don't have much time, but I wanted to give you all a quick update on things in good, old-fashioned bullet style. So, in rapid fire form, here we go:* Wedding plan continues to be a process. I feel like I'm repeating myself in saying we're trying to merge what we want with what we can afford. I'm sure that's every couple's main issue with a wedding, but it's really affecting us a lot right now. * As a part of our attempt to merge what we want with what we can afford, we sat down recently and talked about exactly what it is we want. I think that's a grossly underrated step. Most people just think "we have to do this and we have to do that" but in reality, you only have to do what you want to do -- it's your wedding after all.* School has gotten more stressful in the last week or so and that's impacted my eating a good deal. The lack of time has resulted in turning to bad food. I have eaten fast food at least three or four times in the last two weeks. Not good, but I am acknowledging it so that I can make improvements.* I only made it to the gym once last week -- completely unacceptable.* My brother celebrated his birthday this past Sunday and we all went out to eat. I had uncles, cousins, aunts and even my brother telling me how much weight I had lost and how good I looked. That made all the sweat and agony working out that I've endured thus far, worth it.* Finally, I'm not going to get all political, but I would ask that everyone who is registered please remember to vote. Early voting begins in North Carolina on Oct. 18 (THURSDAY!). It doesn't matter who you vote for, just make sure you rock the vote! Sorry for bullet style, but when life is moving fast you have to go with it or be left behind. Until next time,Amanda
