Did you ever meet a new mom that didnt mention losing the baby weight? Didnt think so. Whether its a top priority or a very, very low one, most new-mommas wanna get back to their pre-pregnancy weight (or better!). Here are some local resources focused on helping new moms with their fitness goals.
Charlotte Prenatal Yoga
This is the class for you if you want to stay with a program during pregnancy and after. Classes are hosted across the city throughout the week, and most either incorporate your child during the yoga practice or offer childwatch. More information.
YMCA Baby Power Hour
A prenatal/postnatal class at the Y where you can bring your baby! Children under 2 kick back in strollers while they watch their moms torture themselves. That is what we call exercise, right? More information.
Stroller Strides
Exercise, accountability, and fresh air for all. Great for moms that are looking for a total fitness program that they can do with their babies. Classes include power walking and intervals of stength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller, and the environment.

Get out of the house with your children and everyone gets to stay fit. Located in Cornelius at KadiFit Gym, you can sweat it out in an intense strength training workout with baby next to you or enjoy a creative movement cardio class with your toddler! More information.
DVD Lindsay Brins Core Fitness for Moms
Perfect for the mom that cant make it to the gym or sometimes even out of the house. (Moi.) I was chatting with a fellow mom-friend just last night, and both of us were lamenting about the pooch. If youve had a baby, you know what Im talking about. We admitted that beyond plastic surgery the only thing to do about it was work hard or just accept it. Id rather work hard. Ive heard rave reviews about this video. Now you know whatll arrive on my doorstep this week. More information.
