Hodges Farm

You don’t want to miss the the beautiful 10 acres of pumpkins, farm animals, corn maze, hayrides, pony rides, and helicopter rides over Hodges Farm. You can find pumpkins from $5+, horse back rides are $10, helicopter rides are $30, and hayrides are $5. Open Monday-Sunday 9 a.m. until dark. More information.

Hunter Farm, Weddington

Go on a hayride, play with some animals, or pick a pumpkin from the patch. Monday-Saturday 1- 7 p.m. $7 per child/student, $8.50 per adult, children under 2 and grandparents ride for free. Last hay ride is at 6:30 p.m. More information.

Aw Shucks Farms

Pumpkin picking, hayrides, pony rides, Haunted Trails at night, 6 acre corn maze, animal barn, and much more. Aw Shucks Farm has attractions for all ages in the family. $8, but there are web discounts available. Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze 2012

Ghost Walk of Davidson

Go on a Historical Ghost walk through the beautiful town of Davidson NC, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday’s in front of the Soda Shop. Hear about the ghost of General William Lee Davidson and The Corpse of Chambers Hall along with many more. Carowinds turns into a haunted theme park every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 p.m.-12 p.m.- some Saturdays until 1 a.m. Admission ranges from $31.99-$39.99. Not for children under 13. More information.

Ghost Train Halloween Festival

When the sun goes down every Friday and Saturday night in October, the Halloween characters emerge Tweetsie Railroad. Hop aboard the Ghost Train for a scary journey into the night. Cost is $28, under age 2 free. More information.

Oct 19-30: Boo at the Zoo

Put on your cutest costume and head over to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden for the annual Halloween spook-tacular, Boo at the Zoo. The family-friendly Halloween event runs from 6-9 p.m. each evening. $6 members, $8 general public. More information.

Oct. 27 Bootanical

The Garden hosts its annual Bootanical from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. for children and families. 50% off admissions for children who wear their costumes. Participate in fun, plant-based Halloween activities and ghoulish games. Free with Garden Admission - Adults $12, Seniors $10 (60+), Children $6 (4-12). More information.

Oct. 31 Monster Mash

Simon Kidgits Club is hosting it’s second annual Monster Mash 6-8 p.m. at SouthPark Mall. Free for Simon Kidgit members, $5 to join. Radio Disney entertainment, spooky crafts, candy, prizes and more! More information.
