Go on a hayride, play with some animals, or pick a pumpkin from the patch. Monday-Saturday 1- 7 p.m. $7 per child/student, $8.50 per adult, children under 2 and grandparents ride for free. Last hay ride is at 6:30 p.m. More information.

Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze 2012

Ghost Walk of Davidson
Go on a Historical Ghost walk through the beautiful town of Davidson NC, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday’s in front of the Soda Shop. Hear about the ghost of General William Lee Davidson and The Corpse of Chambers Hall along with many more. Carowinds turns into a haunted theme park every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 p.m.-12 p.m.- some Saturdays until 1 a.m. Admission ranges from $31.99-$39.99. Not for children under 13. More information.
Ghost Train Halloween Festival
When the sun goes down every Friday and Saturday night in October, the Halloween characters emerge Tweetsie Railroad. Hop aboard the Ghost Train for a scary journey into the night. Cost is $28, under age 2 free. More information.
Oct 19-30: Boo at the Zoo
Put on your cutest costume and head over to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden for the annual Halloween spook-tacular, Boo at the Zoo. The family-friendly Halloween event runs from 6-9 p.m. each evening. $6 members, $8 general public. More information.

The Garden hosts its annual Bootanical from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. for children and families. 50% off admissions for children who wear their costumes.
