The biggest traffic problem at 8:30 a.m. this Tuesday morning in the Charlotte region is in south Charlotte.

A car slammed into a power pole overnight on Park Road near Poindexter Drive, knocking down a power pole. Park Road has been closed in the area since then.

There are several other problems on area roads at 8:30 a.m.:

Park Road at Poindexter Drive ... Power lines are down, after a vehicle hit a power pole near Poindexter Drive. Repairs are expected to be completed by 9 a.m. Traffic is being detoured off Park Road. Motorists headed into Charlotte can use Marsh Road and South Boulevard as an alternate route.

Statesville Road at Catawba Avenue, Cornelius ... A collision involving injuries is causing moderate delays.

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion is slowing traffic to 20 mph from Providence Road to South Boulevard.

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion is building, and traffic is moving at 20 mph, from the lake down to I-485.

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion slowing traffic to 20 or 25 mph from Carowinds to Tyvola Road.

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion slowing traffic to 20 mph from N.C. 73 down to I-485.

Oakdale Road at Brookshire Boulevard ... A natural gas leak is being repaired; minor delays.

Brookshire Boulevard at North Hoskins Road ... Inbound traffic on Brookshire being slowed by a disabled vehicle.

Elm Lane at Endhaven Lane ... A collision is being cleared; minor delays.

North Graham Street at West 4th Street ... A collision is causing moderate delays.
