No injuries were reported in a fire that damaged an office building early Tuesday morning in south Charlotte.

The fire was reported about 4 a.m. at a building containing a State Farm insurance agency, in the 7800 block of Pineville-Matthews Road. That is near Johnston Road, next to Charlotte Catholic High School.

Authorities were forced to close a block of Pineville-Matthews Road, between Johnston Road and Carmel Commons, for about 90 minutes. But the road was reopened shortly before 6 a.m.

Fire investigators are working to determine a damage estimate and the cause.
