For the last couple of weeks my fiancé and I have been packing boxes, lifting furniture, and cleaning. If you have ever moved, you know that it is not the most exciting thing to do. Even if you are moving to your dream home, getting there and settling in can still be a major headache. Seeing that our cookware and utensils are in as much transition as we are, it has certainly put a bump in the way of eating healthy (as if I needed any more of those). It has been go, go, go . . . and a lot of quick and convenient eating. I am working on getting everything in order so we can return to our regularly scheduled program. As a result I’ve being thinking about new meal ideas. Are you someone who can eat the same meals repeatedly for months and not get bored? Well, I’m not but I wish that I was, because it would make counting calories and staying on track a lot easier. Unlike my fiancé who could eat chicken, spinach, and corn every day for weeks, I need options. I need fresh ideas, so share with me! If they require little prep time even better! I know I am not the only who has a busy schedule, but still wants to maintain a healthy diet. How do y’all do it?

Even though moving hasn’t helped in the nutrition department, it has allowed my fiancé and me to reflect on our relationship some. As we have been packing up everything we have come across mementos, cards, and pictures from a few of our very first dates and throughout our relationship that at some point got buried in the back of the closet. It has been nice to reminisce about the time we have spent together and the places we have been as a couple. It is crazy how quickly time flies, and it’s great to see things that remind me of our first holiday and vacation together or the first time we went to the fair. Seeing items that make me re-live those times reinforces my love for him. So yes, moving does suck, but I am thankful that we’ve been able to spend time laughing and reflecting on the moments we’ve spent together. When you have some free time go grab your honey and start digging through your closets. Might be surprised by what you find!
