A Caldwell County tanning salon owner and her boyfriend were arrested Thursday in connection with cocaine trafficking.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office drug unit arrested Jennifer Denise Robinson, 32, and Aaron Lateff Pearson, also known as “Toog,” 38, without incident at the Granite Falls salon, called JennaDollzz Tanning.

They lived in the same home in Lenoir and were charged with trafficking cocaine and maintaining a dwelling to keep drugs, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Robinson owned and operated JennaDollzz Tanning salon, the press release said. The arrests were the result of a yearlong investigation, which included surveillance, interviews and undercover cocaine purchases from the salon and the couple’s home.

On Thursday, investigators seized more than and ounce and a half of powder cocaine, marijuana, digital weighing scales, $1,430 and a 2010 Nissan Altima, the release said. The drugs are worth about $4,100.

Robinson and Pearson were taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center, each under a secured bond of $20,000.

Anyone with information about the drug trafficking can contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office Inner-County Counterdrug Enforcement at 828-757-1178.
