Charlotte police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that left at least three people injured Saturday night.

At around 7 p.m., an unidentified man was shot in the head on Sunstone Drive, near Statesville Road in north Charlotte, police said. The victim, whose name was not released, did not suffer life-threatening injuries, police said.

About two and a half hours later, police responded to a report that two or three other victims were shot on Woodbend Drive, near Albemarle Road in east Charlotte. No further details were available.

As of 9:45 p.m., no suspects in either shooting episode were in custody.
