As Charlotteans nurse their cavities and hangovers from Halloween, another weekend looms. And thanks to the clocks “falling back,” we get an extra hour to party the weekend away.

Friday

Prohibition (200 N. Tryon St.) has found two more holidays to celebrate post-Halloween: Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Halfway to Cinco – de Mayo, that is. It’s all fun and games (literally), including a sombrero toss, jalapeno challenge, and Mexican hat dance. Salud! 8 p.m. $10 includes two hours of cold cerveza and a free mustache. 704-358-4244.

Saturday

Fall Back Weekend Party at Kazba (210 E. Trade St.): Forget the extra hour of sleep and party into the next day with LA drummer Ricky Rocks and DJ Rowshay. From 10 p.m. until an hour after last call normally would be. 704-761-6567.

Charlotte Comedy Theater’s Rated R Improv Comedy Show at Wet Willie’s (900 Seaboard St.): It’s a comedy show, but it’s also a competition. Charlotte’s top improvisers will square off against one another as they vie for laughs. Think “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” – but live, and minus Drew Carey. $10. 8 p.m. 803-548-6824.

Sausage Fest at JJ’s Redhots (1514 East Blvd.): No, it’s not a party with a lot of dudes; it’s an actual sausage party, with homemade sausage from JJ’s Redhots, and lots of local craft beer to wash it down. 3-10 p.m. $20 buys you unlimited samples of sausage and beer. 980-225-8880.

Parents’ Night Out at N Demand in NoDa (617 E. 28th St.): Mom and Dad, if you need to get rid of … er, if you want to give your kids (ages 14-17) something to do so you can have quality time to yourselves, then take them to teen night at N Demand. There’ll be music, refreshments, and – worry not – security. 8 p.m.-midnight. $5 (cheaper than a babysitter!). 704-951-7053.
