Electrolux pledges $200,000 to Sandy relief

Electrolux, which has its North American headquarters in Charlotte, is pledging up to $200,000 to aid victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The company is donating $100,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Fund, Electrolux said late Wednesday. The company will also match up to $100,000 worth of employee donations.

"Our thoughts and concerns are with everyone affected by this storm and the resulting floods that have caused significant damage along the East Coast,” said Jack Truong, CEO of Electrolux Major Appliances, North America, in a statement.
