Redskins linebacker London Fletcher played last week against Pittsburgh despite dealing with a hamstring injury and balance issues. Fletcher ranks among the top five defensive players in consecutive games played since 1970:
Bill Romanowski, 243: The linebacker known as Romo was considered one of the dirtiest players in the league, and might best be remembered for spitting in the face of 49ers wideout J.J. Stokes.
London Fletcher, 232: Has not missed a game since entering the league in 1998. Has made three consecutive Pro Bowls and was the NFL's leading tackler during decade of 2000-09.
Ronde Barber, 231: After 15 seasons at cornerback, Barber moved to free safety this year at the suggestion of first-year Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano. His 28 career sacks are more than any corner in NFL history.
T Derrick Brooks, 224: Must be something in the water in Tampa Bay. The former Bucs linebacker held the team's Ironman records until Barber passed him.
T Kevin Carter, 224: Defensive end played with four teams over 14 seasons. Led the league with 17 sacks in 1999.
