WADESBORO -- A cafeteria worker at Anson Senior High School faces several drug-related charges after authorities found methamphetamine production chemicals in her car, police say.
Deanna Hailey, 42, was arrested Monday after the materials were found in her vehicle, parked at the school. Anson County Schools Superintendent Greg Firn said students were not involved in the situation and were not in danger.
Police say a tip led them to search the vehicle.
Hailey was charged with possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance on school property; possession of methamphetamine precursor; maintaining a vehicle for keeping a controlled substance; and manufacturing a controlled substance.
