Bobcats vs. Suns

Matchup to Watch
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist vs. Michael Beasley: Beasley should be the Suns top offensive weapon and rookie Kidd-Gilchrist was a defensive stopper at Kentucky.
Observations
• Bobcats shooting guard Gerald Henderson is out 2-4 weeks with a sprained left foot. Coach Mike Dunlap was unsure Tuesday who hed start in Hendersons absence.
• Based on Suns losses in Orlando and Miami, the 3-pointer should be open for the Bobcats. The Magic and Heat made a combined 24 of 37 3s versus the Suns.
• Suns center Marcin Gortat leads the NBA in shots blocked this season, averaging 3.5 per game.
• The Bobcats have won their last three home games against the Suns, each by 18 or more points. But thats a little misleading, as they didnt play in Charlotte last season, when the Bobacts were so bad.
Tap-ins
• Suns coach Alvin Gentry grew up in Shelby and played at Appalachian State.
Did you know?
Ex-Bobcat Jared Dudley is now the longest-tenured Sun. He arrived in Phoenix in December of 2008 in the trade that brought Boris Diaw and Raja Bell to Charlotte. Dudley has gone from primarily a power forward in Charlotte to Phoenixs starting shooting guard.
