I-85 lane closure Wednesday night

A lane of northbound Interstate 85 in north Charlotte will be closed Wednesday night and Thursday morning for lighting work, the N.C. Department of Transportation says.

The left lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday near Sugar Creek Road. Crews will be working on lights within 1,500 feet on both sides of the Sugar Creek Road bridge.

The DOT says another lane closure is possible Thursday night, depending on how much progress crews can make Wednesday night.
