It may be getting colder out, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t go out. Another weekend, another long list of things to do during it…

Thursday

It’s Movember, and a group of Charlotte guys are celebrating “No Shave November” to follically fight against domestic violence. Beards BeCAUSE is having their 5 O’Clock Shadow Party at the Thirsty Beaver (1225 Central Ave.). The Loose Lugnuts will be playing. 7:30 p.m. Free, but donations welcome. www.beardsbecause.com.

Dandelion Market (118 5th St.): The pub is donating 10 percent of all sales to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief; one of the owners is from Breezy Point in Queens, N.Y., which was hit hard by the storm. 704-333-7989.

Eli Young Band featuring JT Hodges at Coyote Joe’s (4621 Wilkinson Blvd.): It’s a hoedown throwdown with some of country music’s biggest stars, at Charlotte biggest country bar. Doors open at 7 p.m. $18. 704-399-4946.

Pubs and Pucks Party: The NHL may be on strike, but we still have Charlotte Checkers hockey, which had their home opener Sunday. Tonight, RockHouse Events hosts a bar (and arena) crawl that starts at Dixie’s Tavern at 5:45 p.m. before skating over to the arena. $15 includes tickets and a buffet meal at Dixie’s Tavern. www.rockhouseevents.com.

Saturday

Day-of registration opens at noon; tournament starts at 1 p.m. $50 a team to play, but free to just hang out. www.dogdaysofcharlotte.org.

Sunday
