At least three accidents in the Charlotte metropolitan region are adding to congestion issues for commuters.
Accidents at East Independence Boulevard and Sharon Forest Drive, North Tryon Street and University City Boulevard and Whitehall Park Drive and South Tryon Street are slowing down traffic, according to NBC Charlotte, the Observer’s news partner.
Traffic continues to build on some of the major thoroughfares, including I-277 northbound from I-77 to Independence Boulevard as well as I-85 Southbound from Highway 73 to I-485.
Additionally, I-85 southbound from Highway 73 to I-485 is particularly congested.
