Caregiver Burnout

Queens University of Charlotte and WorkFlex Partners will host this program 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday at Queen’s Sports Complex and Conference Center, Marion Diehl Park, 2229 Tyvola Road. The program will explore work flex solutions of working caregiver burnout in the competitive workplace. $149 per person, 10 percent discount for Queens’ students, alumni, nonprofit organizations or the unemployed. Health and Wellness Expo

This free event, hosted by Publix, will be 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday at The Blake Hotel, 555 South McDowell St. Open to the public, the event will feature Thunder Road event sponsors, vendors and exhibits with the latest trends in running, fitness equipment, footwear, apparel. The pre-expo will also be the packet pick-up/registration location for all three Thunder Road races. Details: runcharlotte.com.

Cleaning for a reason

At least 10 area cleaning services have partnered with Cleaning for a Reason, an international nonprofit that provides free, year-round cleaning services for women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. Area partners include Maid in Mecklenburg; The Minit Maids; Reliable Cleaning Solutions; EcoClean of Charlotte; Two Maids and a Mop; Greenwood Cleaning; Upscale Professional Cleaning Service; Spotless, LLC; Gloria M’s Cleaning Service and Hag With a Rag Cleaning Co.
