Nov. 15 travel club puts spotlight on Italy

Nada Vergili, a Charlotte-based tour operator and expert on Italy, will speak at the Magellan Travel Club meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15. There is no admission to the event, which is open to the public.

Vergili is the owner of Nada’s Italy, which offers educational and cultural opportunities. Each year she spends several weeks in Italy conducting personalized excursions that involve language courses, cooking classes and wine tastings as well as personal encounters with the Italian people.

Vergili holds frequent classes and seminars in Charlotte focusing on all things Italian, and is active throughout the year as a goodwill ambassador between the two countries.

Her Nov. 15 program, which begins at 7 p.m., includes an A/V presentation plus Vergili’s comments on Italy.

The meeting – the Magellan Travel Club’s final meeting of the year – will be held in Room 203 of the fellowship hall at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 E. Morehead St.

Reservations are not required.
