Jenifer has been cleaning up.
She took down the shade cloth I hastily erected in front of the greenhouse last July, cleaned garlic and bagged up bintge potatoes for storage in the walk-in cooler.
The time change has hindered us. It is now almost dark when I get home from work.
I hope to plant our garlic this weekend. We have seven to eight varieties to stick in the ground – about 40 pounds.
I planted a 1,000-foot row of garlic at my job three weeks ago and it is already poking out of the ground with 2-inch sprouts.
