Matchup to Watch

Kemba Walker versus Luke Ridnour: This is an opportunity for Walker to get to the rim, and the foul line, a bunch.

Observations.

• The Timberwolves have been devasted by injuries. Stars Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio are both out and they just lost Chase Budinger for three months to knee surgery.

• Center Nik Pekovic sprained an ankle during Monday’s victory in Dallas, so he’s questionable for Wednesday.

Former Portland star Brandon Roy is making a comeback with the Wolves, after retiring with a chronic knee condition.

Tap-ins

• This is the Bobcats’ only road game in a stretch of five home dates.

• The Timberwolves swept the Bobcats last season, 2-0

• The Bobcats have a respectable 4-4 record all-time in Target Center.

Did you know?

Only seven of the 15 players who ended last season with the Timberwolves are back this season. General manager David Kahn signed six free agents who made the 2012-13 roster. Rick Bonnell
