Lenoir man sentenced in child sex case

A Caldwell County man will spend at least three years in prison after pleading guilty to taking indecent liberties with a child.

Bradley Lynn Mauney, 23, of Lenoir, entered the guilty plea Tuesday in a Caldwell County courtroom. He was sentenced to 36 to 44 months behind bars.

Mauney was arrested in May, and authorities say the sex crimes happened in April and June of 2011.

Mauney, who has been in jail since his arrest, was expected to be transferred to Cental Prison in Raleigh for processing.
