Weekend weather: Cool and mostly clear

By Elisabeth Arriero

Charlotte area residents can expect cooler than normal temperatures and mostly clear skies on Friday and over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 58 degrees today, with a low of about 33 degrees, meterologist Chris Horne said.

Generally, a mid-November weekend would have high temperatures around 63 degrees.

Horne said Saturday will be slighly more cloudy, with temperatures reaching a high of 58. The low will be around 38 degrees by Saturday night.

By Sunday, residents will see “more clouds than sun,” with a possibility of a late day shower, Horne said. Sunday’s low will be about 40 degrees, with a high of 55 degrees.

Next week will be about the same, Horne said.

“There’s nothing big brewing toward the holiday,” he said. “We may have a token shower chance here or there but nothing big on the horizon.”
