3 treated after multi-vehicle wreck in north Charlotte

Three people were taken to the hospital Saturday evening after a multi-vehicle wreck in north Charlotte.

The wreck was reported after 7 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Sugar Creek Road, which is about a half mile from the intersection of Sugar Creek and North Tryon.

Police said it appears that a driver who may have been impaired crossed the median and then struck four vehicles.

Medic says three people were taken to the hospital with injuries described as potentially life-threatening.

Additional information about the wreck was not immediately available.
