Teen’s death a homicide, police say

Mooresville police said this morning they are treating Friday’s death of Markell Terrice Norris, 17, as a homicide, after an autopsy on Monday indicated he died of a gunshot wound.

Police found Norris dead after responding to a report of an unconscious person at 331 Bell Street.
