Davidson Elementary third-graders got recognition in four events in their division at Mathapalooza, a CMS-sponsored math competition on Nov. 3 at the Irwin Academic Center. In the team competition, students worked together to analyze a situation and solve mathematical problems within a specific time frame. Davidsons team of Tess Palmer, Ella Watt, Drew Adams, Julian Rizo and Brooke Van Epps took first place.
Andrew Kryshtalowych placed fifth in the individual competition, in which students independently solved math word problems in a timed setting.
