Holiday happenings: The town’s annual Christmas tree lighting will be 6 p.m. Nov. 30 at Veteran’s Park near Town Hall. Boy Scout Troup 222 will host an All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast with Santa 7:30 a.m.-noon Dec. 1 at Harrisburg United Methodist Church, 4560 N.C. 49. Grant decisions will be made Dec. 20. Grants, which range from $350 to $1,000 to $1,500, are available to jump-start business, build awnings or create signage.
