Global tax manager to deliver lecture at Winthrop

A Winthrop University alumni and partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in New York will be in Rock Hill on Monday as a guest lecturer in an M.B.A. class.

The event is free and open to the public.

Roy Weathers, a 1989 Winthrop graduate, has more than 23 years of experience serving multi-national clients in the financial services industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Winthrop and a master’s degree in accounting with a concentration in taxation from Clemson University.

His lecture on Monday starts at 5 p.m. and will focus on his experience as manager of several global tax teams working for large financial institutions. A reception will immediately follow the lecture in the Macfeat House adjacent to Carroll Hall.

In addition to his M.B.A. lecture, Weathers also will speak as part of the university’s leadership lecture series on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Monday and Tuesday’s events will be at Winthrop’s Whitton Auditorium in Carroll Hall.
