The Observer asks 10 questions of Panthers cornerback Josh Norman:
Q. Who was your favorite football player growing up?
Bob Sanders, man, Bob Sanders.
Q. Did you have a Bob Sanders Colts jersey?
I had Colts jerseys, towels, everything Colts. I even grew my hair out in dreads. Most people dont know that about me. I was playing safety back in the day, too.
The way he would come up and hit people, oh yeah. It was like we had the same type of game. When he would put his face in you, you knew he was there.
Q. Who is your favorite player to watch now?
Peyton Manning.
Q. Was it cool to be on the field against him two weeks ago?
It was. You know the crazy thing is being a rookie (I thought) that Id be most of his reads. I wasnt. He kind of respected me some type of way.
He came up to me after the game and said, Youre a great corner. Thats the craziest thing Ive ever experienced.
Q. What was your first job?
I wouldnt call cutting grass a job. It was at Zaxbys. I hated it.
Q. What were you doing?
I was in the kitchen, in the grease cooking for like the whole eight hours, just cooking chicken. Lots of French fries, chicken wings, chicken fingers. You name it. I was only at that job one week. I couldnt do it.
Q. Speaking of food, whats your favorite meal?
Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, Lima beans and rolls.
Q. Whats your guilty pleasure?
What do I have a weakness for? I can eat about anything and get away with it. I try to stay away from greasy foods.
Q. Do you have a favorite restaurant in Charlotte?
Red Robin.
Q. You attended Coastal Carolina near Myrtle Beach. Do you miss it?
I miss the beach. To clear my mind before a game I would just go out walking the beach at night. Awesome. If you havent done it before, you dont know what Im talking about but its being out by yourself, just you, the moon and the water.
