One of the toughest aspects of losing weight it figuring out your own body. There have been times where I could say, “YES! I’ve got it!” and then times where I’m left standing on the scale with a WTF look on my face. Take for example this past weekend…

With the Dominican, my birthday, and Thanksgiving all in a few weeks time, I knew the scale wasn’t going to be my best friend – and I was ok with that. When I stepped on the scale this past weekend, I was more then confused. I lost all of the weight I put back on from the festivities and even a little more. What in the world!?!?

I’m sure this has happened to many of you before. I’ve got a few theories that include a “shocked” metabolism or even the weight taking a longer time to show up on the scale. Truthfully, I just don’t know. Granted, I’m thrilled about it, but I really want to know why. I’ll keep doing my research and keep you guys in the know!

In other news, Mom and I took full advantage of Black Friday shopping for the wedding! We were able to get a ton of candles and holders from the craft store for dirt-cheap! If you’re a bride on a budget, waiting for big sales like Black Friday are totally worth it. Cyber Monday will also provide great sales (if you’re like me and actually had to be dragged out of the house to go shopping). Remember to keep in mind when you’re shopping for centerpieces: once the wedding is done, you’ve got to do something with all 18 lanterns or 180 votive’s that you’ve purchased! I plan on trying to resell majority of my decorations (think about selling them to planners – they often like to rent stuff to their clients) and donating all of my flowers to some of the local retirement communities. Also keep your budget in mind. There are more important things you can delegate money to than that 8 foot faux palm tree you want to put on your tables.

YAY for Christmas and more family time on its way!

World peace and skinny jeans,

Sheri xo
