Winter Gala
The Charlotte Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals will host the second annual Winter Gala 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Providence Hills Clubhouse, 2663 Providence Hills Drive, Indian Trail. Tickets are $35 and the casino-dance event will include a group salsa dance lesson, casino games, light appetizers and drinks. Surviving the Holidays/Griefshare
This seminar on coping with grief during the holidays, will run 9-11 a.m. Saturday at The Cove Church, 197 Langtree Road, Mooresville. The seminar aims to encourage participants to find joy in the holidays again, no matter how long it’s been since your loved one died. Hearts in Healing for Kids (kindergarten through fifth grade) will run at the same time. $5 material fee for adults, free for kids. Please register all household members who will be attending. Free HIV testing
Catawba Care will offer free, rapid HIV testing 3-7 p.m. Dec. 3 at RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network), 501 N. Tryon St. This free service is offered on the first Monday of every month. Details: 803-909-6363 ext. 234; catawbacare.org.
