All lanes of northbound Interstate 85 in west Charlotte are open again Monday evening after a multi-vehicle wreck closed several lanes of the highway for about three hours.

The wreck was reported about 2:30 p.m. near the Billy Graham Parkway interchange. All lanes were blocked for a short time, and authorities closed two lanes until about 5:30 p.m.

A flatbed truck overturned and landed near the median. The truck was leaking fuel, according to authorities. Crews had to clean the fuel, in addition to clearing away the wreckage of the two vehicles.

One person was injured and taken by Medic to the hospital, with life-threatening injuries.
