Despite building an early 11-point lead, the Panthers find themselves struggling in Philadelphia, trailing the Eagles 15-14 at halftime at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Panthers were ripped for 150 rushing yards by the Eagles, three times as many yards on the ground as Carolina has gained.
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton completed eight of 14 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the half.
Taking advantage of a depleted Philadelphia defense, the Panthers were sharp early, scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions to build a 14-3 late in the first quarter.

After forcing an Eagles punt in part because of a Greg Hardy sack of Nick Foles, the Panthers needed just three plays for their second touchdown with Newton finding a wide open Brandon LaFell for a 43-yard touchdown and a 14-3 lead late in the first quarter.
The Panthers' offense stalled from there, however, and the Eagles gradually came back.
A 41-yard Henery field goal early in the second quarter cut the Carolina lead to 14-6 before Eagles running back Bryce Brown ripped off a 65-yard touchdown run that pulled the Eagles within two points. Philadelphia went for two points after the touchdown but the play failed, leaving the Panthers with a 14-12 lead.
However, the Eagles regained the lead on Henery's third field goal, a 45-yarder with 3:20 remaining in the half.
The evening didn't start well for the Panthers, who allowed the Eagles to march downfield on their first possession. However, the Eagles' season-long red zone struggles surfaced again, forcing Philadelphia to settle for a 36-yard Alex Henery field goal and a 3-0 lead.

Panthers inactives versus Philadelphia
There were no surprises on the Panthers' inactive list for Monday night's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
DE Antwan Applewhite was the only Panther who did not make the trip to Philadelphia. Also inactive for the Panthers are QB Jimmy Clausen, WR David Gettis, CB James Dockery, LB Jason Williams, S D.J. Campbell and T Bruce Campbell.
Gettis has been active only once this season while Joe Adams remained inactive. Head coach Ron Rivera gave Adams a second chance at punt return last week, and that in turn left Gettis as the odd wide receiver out.
